Crop insurance

This policy covers loss or damage due to fire, lightning, storm, malicious damage, transit and theft of harvested crop whilst stored in a silo or building. Veritas General Insurance Plc currently offers the following covers:

Crop comprehensive – covering hail, fire and lightning, explosion, riot and strike and malicious damage

Fire and lightning only – the following crops can be insured: maize, wheat, tobacco, soya beans

Livestock insurance

This covers death of animals in respect of accidents, illnesses or diseases and epidemics. Policies can be extended to cover theft, calving risks etc. The cover is suitable for animals such as cattle, sheep, pigs, horses and policy.
